Any patient who has a life threatening illness with a prognosis of 6 months or less if the disease runs its normal course, and is not receiving curative treatment, can be referred to Hospice for supportive care.

The earlier a patient is referred to Hospice, the more we can do to improve the patient's quality of life, by providing services such as
          1.  Expert pain and symptom management
          2.  Emotional and spiritual support to the patient and their loved ones
          3.  Assistance in organizing a patient's personal affairs
          4.  Help in dealing with the difficult issues that arise at the end of life
          5.  Supporting the caregiver

We understand that referring a patient to hospice can be very difficult.  You may have questions about whether hospice is appropriate for you, or your loved one.  Please leave your name and contact information, and we will be in touch with you right away.
